Carrot juice and prevention of eye cataract

A cup of carrot juice taken daily improves the eyesight and prevents cataract. What is cataract?  A cataract is a clouding of the normally clear lens of the eye.

The patient should eat plenty of raw carrot. Alternatively, he should take two glasses of carrot juice daily one glass each morning and evening.

The vitamin E content in carrot is helping prevent cataract and it also prevent macular degeneration. Other sources of vitamin E are spinach, watercress, asparagus and tomatoes.

Carotene works together with vitamin C and E to maintain antioxidant levels in the body cells. It also can help reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke and night blindness.
