Health benefits of alfalfa juice

Alfalfa juice is rich in vitamins A, B, C, D, and K; bioflavonoids; and the minerals calcium, magnesium and manganese as well as many trace elements, including boron, chromium, molybdenum and selenium.

Alfalfa juice contains saponins, a compound found in a number of herbs and grasses that may have a cleansing ability on the plaque deposits on the walls of the arteries.

Its high chlorophyll content relieves respiratory disorders and many degenerative disorders, such as arthritis and it may lower cholesterol and help guard against atherosclerosis. It is used most beneficially in helping to dissolve cancer. Only fresh leaves of the plant may be used for this purpose.

Classified by some as a legume rather than a cereal grass, alfalfa also contains eight essential amino acids that the body needs to build protein.

Alfalfa juice is not always readily available, because it must be made from the fresh leaves and not everybody has access to a field where it is growing.

The juice of fresh alfalfa, is strong and potent and is best taken with carrot juice. It is also can be combined with celery juice. In fact the combination of all three has been used to strengthen the roots of the human hair.
