Health benefits of ginger juice

Ginger is a large tuberous horizontal perennial plant having knots. Fresh ginger root is pungent and heating and has a sweet vipaka. Ginger can improve circulation, relieve congestion, help break down blood clots and may aid in preventing heart attacks.

Preparation of ginger juice:
Peel the ginger pieces
Grate the peeled ginger.
Squeeze the juice out of the grated ginger.

Ginger juice with lemon juice and mixed with little rock salt powder is effective in flatulence, indigestion and anorexia.

A mixture of 1 teaspoon each of ginger juice and fresh onion juice is good to settle down nausea and vomiting.

Ginger juice is highly beneficial in the treatment of sexual weakness. For better results, half a teaspoon of ginger juice should be taken with half-boiled egg and honey once daily at night for a month.

It tones up the sex centres and cures impotency, premature ejaculation and spermatorrhoea.

Japanese research showed that ginger juice to have an immunity stimulating potency similar to the active principle in shiitake mushroom, an approved anti-cancer drug in Japan.

In another study, ginger’s cough suppressing properties ere deemed equal to codeine.

Ginger is an herb with no known toxicity so for general health and well being.

Ginger is spicy, and some people may experience a burning sensation in their mouth or stomach; this isn’t harmful but if it causes discomfort, start with a small amount and gradually increase.

Ginger has been used in India for millennia. In nineteenth century India, one English writer observed that a popular remedy for cough and asthma consisted of the juiced of fresh ginger with a little of fresh garlic mixed with honey.

There is a suggestion in India that 1 to 2 teaspoons of ginger juice with honey as a cough suppressant.

For cold symptoms fever associated with flu, sore throat, menstrual cramps, or headache, steep 2 tablespoons of freshly shredded ginger in boiled water two to three times daily.

To relieve arthritis pain, take fresh ginger juice extract or tea, 2 to grams daily; rubs oil into painful joint; or place fresh root in a warm poultice or compress and apply to painful areas.
